About Hearers Hermitage
Hearers Hermitage is the home of The Sacred Mother Elders Council (SMEC). SMEC is small groups of local & closely bonded elder mothers (60+) who are also ACEs survivors. Hearers Hermitage transforms elder mother groups into deep friends who function as ‘nodes of change’ to their community's emotional energy frequency. SMECs influence their communities by continually refining our own energy frequency; scaffolding under-supported younger mothers; and responding to the zeitgeist of the times.

Journey to Council
If you take the work seriously, you can expect not mere change and not mere transformation, but 'transmutation': evolution to a new state of being. The goal is permanent change in your personal alignment, because this is what creates a high functioning group that can drive the kind of change SMEC aims to generate in communities. Ever-increasing personal coherence is fostered in three stages, and with each increase in your personal coherence comes also your shift toward quantum consciousness.

Level Three
The first step in the journey to council is to retrieve the soul from its hiding place of safety from suffering. ACEs inevitably force the soul and its natural unfolding underground, but by the end of Level One, the soul has returned to awareness of itself and of its right to participate fully in the world.
Step Two is an excruciating ‘ego-leak'. You stop attending only to the positive side of your nature while disowning the “negative” side, which we all have, and accept your whole self. By the end of step two, you will have fully relaxed your central nervous system so that energy and information can flow through more smoothly. Most importantly, you will have shed your subconscious fear of close relationships and developed a capacity for ‘feeling’ that far surpasses that of ‘ordinary’ people. You make the shift from individual to relational consciousness, which is our African heritage.
At level three, the statement that our existence is a ‘quantum energy system’ will ring true to you, because you will have just experienced two noticeably large energy shifts in your own being. These are true paradigm shifts - radical changes in ways of thinking and perceiving almost everything. You will know and feel yourself to have evolved as you will have shifted from relational to quantum consciousness. Quantum consciousness cannot be forced. It pours spontaneously into the empty space left by the emptying out at Levels One & Two. It comes as a surprise, a gift, just as relational consciousness does at Level Two.
The journey together generates a healthy family feeling among group members & ends in our lifelong intentional community of resonance, warmth, synergy, & joy at Hearers Hermitage. You cannot anticipate the surprises along this journey. They are true surprises - newness that you simply could not have foreseen.
All of SMEC’s potential influence depends on this journey. The ego is virtually vanquished. Council elders begin to function intuitively, which looks and feels very different from typical headcentric planning. Our work together becomes more like improvisation as Council elders sense and feel the way forward - together!
SMEC must take its proper place in the human landscape.
